Long time no blog....

Sorry it has been a while since I have blogged. We have had snow days, car battery problems, Vanderbilt appointments, painting the living room, strep throat, Rich hitting a guard rail and just blame laziness. I am going to do better this week. Of course it is Tuesday and I am just now getting on. Tennessee has had some cold weather the last couple of days. It was actually nice this weekend, temperatures in the upper 50's, but then the cold came back today, like 30 degree cold. Wow, it is cold. Usually by now it is pretty nice. Trenton had his appointment at Vanderbilt on Friday. It went pretty good. He has to see a developmental specialist in the next couple of weeks for his actual diagnosis. Tucker was TOTALLY bored. Next time he will not go. I have to say Vanderbilt was very nice. Everything was kid oriented. We painted the living room this last week. It is a nice brown color, I will get pictures this week and out it on the blog. The van battery died on us two weekends ago. While we were trying to go to church, while it was snowing, and then we found out Rich had a low tire and had to call into church, so someone else could teach our class. Trenton got over his strep throat, but now Tucker does not feel well. The only go half day tomorrow, so if we can only last until then. Rich decided to "test" the road out when it snowed and ran into the guard rail at the end of the road. Thank goodness it was at 3:45 in the morning, or he would have gone right into traffic. Hopefully things will start to be back to normal and the blogging will start again. I thought I would add some summer pictures, to remember how nice it is hopefully going to be....Enjoy!

Bumblebee has strep throat!

Mr. Trenton woke up this morning with big white patches on his throat. I took him to work with me today and he has strep throat. I decided that, since we never finish our medicine, that I would just have them give him a Bicillin shot. I have worked in Pediatrics for 19 years and have never seen the needle or the medicine. My heavens it was big. I felt terrible that I told them to give it to him. He cried really hard, but he was such a big boy. He gets to stay out of school today and Friday. I stayed at work until 11:30, we took the computer so he could watch movies. He did a great job! We go to Vanderbilt next Friday for the autism evaluation. We hope that we will only have to go one time and will not have to wait for the testing. He was tested by the school system in 2007, so hopefully they will not have to do that again. That waiting list is 9 months long. Please keep Trenton is your thoughts. No matter what is said, we love him no matter what. We just want to make sure that we get all the help we can for school. We want both the boys to be successful in whatever they do! i mean, hello, they are Gharings and they are will be FANTASTIC!!!

Happy Birthday Amerly and Olivia!

This week we had two birthdays in the family. Amerly was on Tuesday and Olivia's was on Thursday. I remember when they both were born. I am always so thankful that we have 2 beautiful nieces, I am also glad that God gave me boys. They are a true blessing, Happy Birthday girls! We love you!

Poker anyone?

We started a new tradition tonight. On Friday nights we are going to start playing cards. My Granny, Grandpa and me use to play Progressive Rummy on Friday nights until 1 or 2. We would pop a bag of popcorn and keep playing over and over again. (being from Vegas, I guess it is in my blood.) This week, every night we have played Uno or charades. So, tonight we played Uno and then played Slapjack. Rich bought chips, a green felt tablecloth, a dealers hat and beer mugs. We had good time, but Tucker is a sore loser. If it is not Tucker wins, we have cheated. He had a few melt downs, but all in all, it was fun. Trenton thought it was fun to wear the hat and deal the cards like a gambler. Gotta love those two!

What the....?

This is what my boys do when they get home from school. These are Tucker's sweatpants, that Rich cut the legs off. They look like they belong to the Cripps. Word.

Look at the snow....still.

The boys were out of school on Monday and on Tuesday. They finally went back to school 2 hours late on Wednesday. As you can imagine they were not very happy. This shows how much snow we actually got. This was taken Monday night. They are calling for snow again tonight, but just a dusting. I am ready for spring, but that dang groundhog saw his shadow. Who is up for groundhog stew?

Rich's best side :D

Even though it snowed, Karley still has to go outside. This is a fight every night between Rich and Karley. Fighting to get her harness on. It is actually funny.....only because it is not me.....fighting with the dog, not getting into the harness.
