Goodbye dear Klondike.

Today was a sad day in the Gharing house. We had to say goodbye to our dear pet Klondike. Klondike recently had a stroke and apparently had another one in the last few days. We have had her since she was 5 weeks old. She would have been 12 years old in August. We loved her so much. She will always be our only girl and she will always be our fist baby. Until we see you again baby girl....you will be missed terribly.

Schools out for summer!

Well....today was the last day of school! Praise God. This was the first morning that they both jumped out of bed. No homework, no fighting in the morning and no crying jags on Sunday night! I hope that this summer holds lots of fun and family time for all of us. One thing Rich and I are really going to try to do this summer is enjoy this time. Not spend every weekend on a "project". Life is to short and they are only this age for a short time. I hope everyone will slow down and enjoy these summer months and remember they will fly by! School will be starting again before we know it.....ugh!!

Happy Memorial Day!

Well....Happy Memorial Day 2009! Today we remember those that have gone and fought for our freedom. I think we today take for granted the freedom that we have in America. We have those that have served our country to thank for all we get to do. People like my dad, my father in law, my grandfather, Rich's grandfather and so on and so on. Because of these men we have a day like today, that we can enjoy with our family and be grateful we live were we do. So, thank you for defending the country that I love so much!

Fun in the sun!

Well....today was the first day that all three of us got into the pool. WOW, it was cold. Once you got use to it, it was not that bad. Of course, Rich did not get in. It has to be bath water before he will get in. So he was the picture taker. The boys had fun playing "treasure hunt". We have these sinking sticks that you throw and then you go and hunt for them. It is a great thing for learning to hold your breath. Tucker has done so good. This is the first full summer that he will not have to wear the "baby floaties". Trenton is such a fish, I am sure that Tucker will be right there with him.

Strawberry Sunday!

Well....today was some kind of a day. Today we went to the strawberry patch in Wartrace and picked fresh strawberries. Tucker was in strawberry heaven. He really had some self control though, he never ate one strawberry.....until we were in the car. He had a half of basket by himself. Amazingly he did not get sick. Trenton thought it was cool, but did not want to try one. It reminded Rich of growing up and going to orchards and picking fruit with his parents. We never did anything like that while I was growing up, of course there are not many strawberriy patches in Las Vega. So the boys and I got to do a first first together today. It was so much fun and look forward to the fall, when the apples will be ready. Now that will be heaven for Trenton.

Great day in the neighborhood!

Well....today was a wonderful day. We started out the day with pancakes then off to Lowe's. Lowe's is our ToysRus store. We got a couple bags of mulch and Rich got a few pond plants. We then can home and collected a few large rocks for that "natural" look. I think we made out pretty well. Things around here change so often. Someone once told me my life was unsettled because I moved things so much. I disagree with that person, you have not lived until your yard is moved around and you have several trees that have had different views. Life is good, Live a little! Move some crap around!

Kindergarten Graduation!!

Well...today was Tucker's big graduation from Kindergarten! How sweet it was to see all those innocent faces singing and looking so happy. It was such a bittersweet thing to watch. I remember the day I found out I was pregnant and the day Tuckman was born. He is truly a blessing to our lives. He has such a humor and sweetness to him. He also has a mischievous side to him (nothing like his parents). One day we will look back on this day and realize that the years have flown by. These are the times you thank God for all your blessings, today was a definite good day.We love you sweet baby boy of ours!

Happy Birthday Joshie!

Today is my baby brother's birthday. He is 28 years old. This picture was taken when he was at the emergency room and had been given morphine. (I love taking pictures at your worst:) I hope you have a great birthday Josh. We do not say it very much, but I love you. Life without you and April would have not been fun growing up. I appreciate you and I hope you have a wonderful birthday Joshie!

Tennessee Summer Fun!

Well, We went out to my mom's house for my brother's birthday. Happy Birthday Josh on Monday! Well Josh bought a slip and slide for the kiddies to play on. They had a great time. It brought back memories of my childhood when we first moved here and my dad and grandpa laid down black plastic and we drenched the plastic with Joy liquid detergent. Many times we slide right off the plastic, but we had alot of fun. Trenton, Tucker, Amerly and Caden had fun and that is what makes life good.

Another Monday come and gone!!

Who likes Monday's? Unless you are a sick individual, you hate Monday's just like me. But when you have sweet little boys at home waiting for you, how can you not like Monday's? Or any day for that matter. No matter how bad of a day I have had or how grouchy I am, these two can make me laugh. I love them more than life itself!

One more thing.....

When I was mowing today, Rich took a few pictures of Patch of Heaven. We love our little house. There is not a place we would rather be than right here. We can always find solace at home. God truly blessed us. We have two healthy children, a wonderful family, a beautiful home and each other. God is good!

My kind of Mother's Day!

Well...today was a great day. We started out going to church, then to Wal-Mart :), then home and out to mow! Even though I mowed on Thursday night, we had so much rain and our grass is SO high and since that today is Mother's day, I decided to mow.....again. Riding the mower is therapy. I can come up with some great things on that Murray. Some things are too far fetched, but it is a great time to be by myself. As a mom, you do not have much time to yourself. One day though I am sure I will have too much time to myself and will wish for these days back. While I was mowed tucker planted his bean sprout in our garden. Check out his hick feet. I did not realize we had hobbits for children!

Summer has begun!

Well, we finally had one day without no rain. Trenton and Tucker have been going nuts because the cover has been off the pool and we have been torturing them, by not letting them swim. So today, even though the water was green, needed to be vacuumed and it was only 68 degrees, we let them get in. Tucker was only in for about 45 minutes, while Trenton on the other hand was in for about an hour and a half. You know I could remember being in our pool in Las Vegas and mom telling me you are going to be a Popsicle and me thinking your just old. Guess what I was thinking today! Wonder what Trenton and Tucker were thinking????

The last 3rd grade project!!

Well, Trenton had to do a volcano for a school project. We had big ideas...exploding lava running into the ocean, sound effects the whole nine yards. Then Trenton decides that he wants to keep it so he can play with it. So....mom and dad stepped back and thought, wait this is his project, not ours. He wanted to do an African volcano. Me, thinking I was smarter than a third grader, said "there are no volcanoes in Africa". Well we looked it and what do you know, there are several. So after I recounted what I said, we started. What started out as a hot mess, ended out to be an awesome volcano...that is in Africa. Mount Cameroon to be exact.

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mother's Day! People never really appreciate your mom until you are one. Being a mom is a thankless job. The pay is the pits , you never get enough rest and no one appreciates you. Like I said....until your a mom. Your mom molds you into who you are. Thank you for all you have done for us. God truly knew what he was doing! We love you! Happy Mother's Day!

Cumberland Caverns!

Today Trenton went to Cumberland Caverns. It is a natural cavern in the Chattanooga area. I think he had a great time. I found a piece of "gold" and even a diamond that he said I could make into a ring. Rich or I could not go with him today, so this was his first field trip without one of us there. Mrs. Vetter, his teacher said he did great and had a good time. I was afraid he would wander off and get lost! He had a great time and collected a whole bag of "treasures". Ah ....to be young again!!

They are so sweet.....when they are asleep...

Last night before I put the boys to bed, I noticed that Tucker and Rich were already comfy in our bed. Tucker can fall asleep quickly, but not as fast as Rich. With him getting up at 3:00 each morning, 7:30 comes around and we are in a dead heat to get back to the bedroom. One thing about that, I get to watch what I want to on the TV.

Rain Rain go away.....

We have had so much rain in the last 5 days. Friday-rained, Saturday-rained, Sunday-rained, Monday-rained, and today...guess what RAIN. We took the cover off the pool 2 weeks ago and filled it, with the water we have to pay for, and then the flood came. The picture of the whole pool, the water is only suppose to be the second white line, which you cannot see. My poor Hosta has been sitting in a puddle. I guess we cannot complain, our yard is nice and green....of course it is 8 foot tall, but it is green!

What have I gotten myself into??????

Well.....Our church has been asking for a director for VBS. They have been asking for some time now, but no one had volunteered. I told Rich that if they did not get a director before the first Sunday in May, maybe God wanted me to do it. Well what do you know, the Lord apparently thinks I will be a good director. I hope it is not a cruel joke. You do know he has a sense of humor, right? Farts? Come on! So I have looked through everything and I hope that I have not bitten off more than I can handle. But then again, God never gives you more than you can handle.

The After Party....

Well....Here is the big 7 year old birthday boy after his big weekend. His friend there is Ellie. He has had Ellie for many birthdays. Rich found him when Tucker was almost 1 year old. He has never let him go since. Ellie is a good friend to Tucker. We are so thankful to have Tucker, and Ellie , in our lives. He is such a sweet boy, he is bright and he always has a hug for you. Happy Birthday big boy, We love you!

Let the birthday begin!!

well we started out the birthday festivities by having Caden and Amerley over for the night. We had chicken nuggets and french fries for dinner and watched Kung Fu Panda, then we moved in our room to watch Narnia. Rich and love them but boy was it a full house! We had a great time and were very glad that they came over for Tucks' sleepover, soon they will not want to do anything with us so we cherish every little thing. God is good in the small things.
