Happy Spookie Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to our Pennsylvania parents! We love you and hope you have a great day. We will be together to celebrate in a few weeks. We love you and will see you then!

Spookie Ookie!

So tonight was the big night. Halloween. Trenton and Tucker were so excited to get to go door to door and beg....I mean ask for candy. They had a great time. Since we are not home and miss the spooks at our house, and we do not want to be TP'd, we left some candy. As usual we only had a couple of pieces gone when we got home....more for us to eat....

Costumes Galore!

This year we wanted to make the boys Halloween costumes. Trenton was Zurg off Toy Story and Tucker was Bobba Fett off Star Wars. Rich made their weapons and I did the costume part of it. It is amazing what a little bit of paint and extra material will do. I think they turned out great. As you can see we had a great foreman, Trenton would overlooked everything!

Happy Anniversary!!

Well, since it has been sick world in the Gharing house, I did not get to write about our 13th year anniversary. Rich and I have been married for 13 years on October 26th. Our gift....swine flu. I cannot believe that we have been married for this long. It seems like yesterday that we were young and excited to be newlyweds. Now we are just old but we still love each other just like that day we married 13 years ago! I love you honey!

Happy Halloween!

So, we decided to carve our pumpkins this weekend. Rich bought them on Saturday. Rich carved the witch, Tucker drew and carved the ghost and Trenton drew and carved the vampire. I think they look great. We put white Christmas lights in, Martha Stewart's idea, and they look awesome! Trenton did not enjoy cleaning the pumpkin out though.. He said it felt gross and made him itch. They had a great time carving them and seeing what they looked like when the sun went down. Happy Halloween everybody!!!

Our Halloween art...

You know when your child is sick and you have to work, I makes you feel very guilty. So Saturday when I came home from work, Tucker and I decided that we would do some Halloween art. He loves to do artsy fartsy stuff. I pulled out the big art box and this is what we made. A spooky house with a spooky cemetery. He had so much fun. He worked so hard he took a nap afterwards. Rich took Trenton to go and get their stuff for their Halloween costumes. So it was just him and I . I got to baby him like I wanted to do on Friday and Saturday. He is feeling a little better, but still has a slight fever of 99. He cannot go back to school until he is fever free for 24 hours. He has a terrible cough and still cannot really talk. So mommy is staying home with him Monday. Hopefully he will get back to school on Tuesday. So I wonder what we will do tomorrow????? He can talk me into anything!

Fall Foliage...

We have had such a wet fall, I am sure that this is going to be a beautiful. This was taken right outside the back door on Friday night. It is only going to get more vibrant. I love Fall!

Shoo flu shoo!

So..... the Gharing household has come down with the flu. The dreaded flu....the piggy flu. I guess this is what I get for not getting their shot, waiting for the clinic to run out before my boys get the vaccine. I feel so bad that Tuckman is sick. He is so pitiful when he does not feel good. His eyes get glassy, he does not talk, something odd for him. Hopefully tonight we will all get a good nights sleep and will feel refreshed in the morning. One thing I am glad that it is not over Thanksgiving or Christmas break. Hopefully he will feel better by Halloween....now lets just pray Trenton does not come down with it!

Still lovin the room.....

Well the boys are still loving their room. I am not sure why their pajamas are on backwards...but whatever. They have had a lot of fun playing in there at night, not so much fun cleaning up, but we are working on it. Notice Rich is even in there playing.

Stylin' and profilin'

This is not the best picture, but I thought I would send a photo of the new do. This is after a wonderful day at work...hint the sarcasm. In the words of my grandpa, it looks like a football helmet, but I like it. It did not take long to dry it this morning. Notice my red devil eyes....whoa I am scary!

Look what she has done!!!

We are trying to get Karley to stay in the bathroom during the day when we are at school and work. Monday she did great. Today.....not so great. She decided to defluff her pillow, and this is the result. Klondike had a Tigger that she defluffed once, so I guess it runs in the family...

Go Blue!

So the clinic had discount tickets to the MTSU football game. This was the boys first game they have ever been too. Tucker has been playing EA sports on his playstation and was totally excited. Trenton on the other hand was worried about the noise, but he was excited to go to the big stadium. MTSU lost and we left in the 3rd quarter, because our butts were frozen. There was a strong wind and it was only 43 degrees. The seats were wet from the morning rain, so I used my jacket to wipe the seats off, so we would not have wet butts. We had a great time though. You know it is worth it when BOTH the boys ask if we can go again! What a great way to spend a Saturday!

Finally Friday!

So, the first week back to work and school has been long and stressful. We have been so busy at work this week with the pig panic flu aka swine flu, and also flu shots. So we decided that on Friday we would have a fry feast and do nothing but watch the boob tube and play playstation. So that is exactly what we did. Notice the concentration on Tucker's face as he is playing Guitar Hero. Trenton is in heaven with his tv and toys. He can stay in there for hours just making things and watching tv. That is his relax mode. This was our fried feast. Pizza snacks and corn dogs, does that not just scream DIMPLE ON YOUR BUTT????

We are going to have a problem....

You know around the Gharing house the year revolves around Christmas. If Halloween cannot stand "the Karley", how is Santa? This is what is left of a spider. Little b****h, is chewing on everything. We may have to get her a muzzle to get her through the Christmas season.

Gharing Spooktacular!

As promised, here are the photos of our Halloween town. Trenton took the one that was taken during the day. Pretty good if you ask me. It was too dark last night, you could not see the witch. Hope you enjoy and have a great spooky day!!!

The Byrum haunted house....

We took Amerly and Caden out to my mom's house after our fun day. April and Nana had decorated for Halloween, which was really cool. They boys thought the spider was awesome. We decorated for Halloween on Friday. I will have to take pictures and get them on here Sunday. It was nice to see my mom's house decorated. She never really has done that before. It was nice to see the spirit of the season coming out. I think it was my sisters doing, but we loved it!!!

Spooky!!

We promised everyone that we would go to the "Halloween Store" aka Party City to look at Halloween stuff. Trenton did not have a good time, hence why he is not in the photos. He hates the plastic masks and the scary things. Caden on the other hand put the mask on and wanted me to take his picture. Amerly and Tucker tried on the funny glasses. They were too funny!

Burger King...

Well, I felt dumb taking this picture, but they were having so much fun. Trenton did not get to ride the carousel, so he got to pick lunch. We thought the toy was Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, but it was Spongebob. Even better! Rich said we looked like tourists, but all for the sake of the blog!

Fun at the mall!

So, we had Amerly and Caden spend the night with us on Friday. We were going to take them to the pumpkin patch in Shelbyville, but it rained all day Friday and then on Saturday morning. Not the best idea with 4 children, a clean van and 8 feet. :( So we decided to go to the mall. Amerly and Caden have never been to the Disney store in Franklin. So we took a drive. We told all of them we were just looking and not buying anything. It just so happened that Larry and Bob off Veggie Tales were there from 12 to 2. We could not have planned that if we tried. We got there at 11:30. They had a great time. We did not spend one penny at the mall, but I think they had a great time, which is worth more than any amount of money!!

This day did not end like I thought...

We took the boys to see Cloudy with a chance of meatballs this afternoon. What a funny movie. There are many movies that we go see that I think I cannot believe we paid for this. It was a good story, with a wonderful message. Be who you are and try your best. This is a huge message for me. Sometimes I am not always who I really am. I am the person I think people want me to be. It was wonderful to here Trenton say" I want to be an inventor. That movie was great mom!" While we are laughing and joking about the day, I tried to start the van and it would not start. Battery dead. :( My cell phone is dead as a door nail, Rich did not bring his. A nice man named Jack from Kelly Tires walked over and asked if we needed any help. He went back into the shop and brought a battery jumper and jumped the van off for us. We got home safely, but could not get the van to start again. Rich went into town and had to buy a 65.00 dollar battery, can you believe that they cost that much. UG. So this day of going to a movie, decorating for Halloween and watching It;s the great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, did not happen. But as long as we are together, it is always Paradise on Patch of Heaven, even if there is a chance of meatballs in the forecast!!! :)

I T IS D O N E!!!!

We finally finished with the boys room! It looks great! Rich and I are very proud of it. The boys actually slept in their own room last night. I think Trenton stayed up and watched DVD's all night. He has not had a DVD player in his room in a while, so you would have thought he has not watched a DVD in forever! My friend Dimitri was having a yard sale and we got it from her for 10.00! What a steal! Thanks Dimitri!! We love it and so do the boys. It was so great that they had so much room to play in. They had a huge Star Wars fight. It was a big project but we are glad we did it. I think we are ready for fun the rest of the week. :D

Crush is not a happy camper...or swimmer.

Ok, last post of the night. Since we have been working, Crush has been taken out of her uptown condo....large tank, into this thing. The fourth of July can drink holder thing. She hisses every time we walk by. Not really, but you can see it that she wants to do it. Hopefully she will be back in her condo Wednesday!
