What are the boys doing???

So....what have the boys been doing while their mother and father are slaving away fixing their room you ask??? Destroying our room. This is the mayhem that has been going on. This picture was taken after about a half hour of "picking up". It is an all out bachelor party. Hence the shirtless Trenton. I think they have eating a gallon of ice cream, 3 bags of chips and 2 boxes of snack cakes. They are so much like their mother....boredom=eating. Once we finish it is all about having fun on this fall break! We are having Amerly and Caden over, decorating for Halloween, seeing a movie and checking out the Halloween store. Let's just do one thing at a time right now.....FINISH THE ROOM!!!!!

Part Deux...

Well we did not finish, but we did get it almost done. Rich almost finished the entertainment center. We both were getting tired so we decided to call it a night. It rained a lot this afternoon, which put a kink in the day, but we had a nice day. Tomorrow will be finish painting the center and getting the room put back together......hopefully:)

It is time to go to bed!

You know it is time for bed, when your youngest starts marching around the kitchen with a Popsicle box on his head. Those two have had the reign of the house fro the last two days. Apparently Tucker thinks

this is his crown....

Day one is O V E R!

Well we got alot done today. We got the room painted and the bed finished and a first coat of paint on the bed. It looks pretty good. I am not sure about the bed being the same color of the walls though. We bought a color to put on the furniture, but when we started to paint it, we were not sure of it. It was a pretty golden color, but it did not go with the brown. Tuesday will be the entertainment center and hopefully putting the room back together. I am ready to get the boys back in their room. For the last two nights they have been sleeping on the floor in our room. They love it but I have tripped going in the bathroom in the night over the dumb mattress. A good night sleep and Rich and I will be ready to go angain in the morning! Until then.....

Hershey Chocolate

Tucker loves chocolate. He can go through a whole package of Hershey chocolate in a weekend. When we picked out this color, which we found at Habitat for Humanity for 8.00 a can, we did not think we would love it. But oh, when we got it on the walls....LOVE IT! Tucker says it looks like chocolate and Trenton says it looks like a big turd, but what does that child know? We have decided that Karley does not have a brain. If she sat against the wall once, she did it 4 times. We had to give her a bath. She was not a happy camper, because I had to scrub her ears with a scrub brush....but she is clean now. Tomorrow she will be locked out of the room.

Renovation Reality....

So today was day one of the boy's room renovation. It started with Rich making the bed. We kept the top of the existing bed, but he made a new bottom of it. This is totally cool, because all of the boys toys will fit neatly under in tubs. We are so proud of them. They really downsized their toys. We told them that when we have a yard sale next weekend, that any toys they sold they could have the moola. Everyone wins here:)

Yard Sale Find...

Saturday when we went into town, we stopped at a yard sale. Rich and I do not do that often enough. It was so much fun to look through the "junk" and imagine what it could be turned into. This crock was one of our finds. Since it has a rooster on it....it found a home instantly, and for only 2.00 who could pass that baby up? Not this rooster loving momma!
