Movie and Wal-Mart
For our last hooray for vacation, we went to go see Dogs and Cats and what else??? We went to Wal-Mart. It is great to have the camera with you at all times. Guess what Trenton is saying? I look like a Mexican is what he is saying. He is his father's son. Tucker on the other hand....I have no idea what he was saying, but I do not think I want to know.
Look at that pooper!
Apparently Georgia has enough moola to build a "log" rest area....get it? Log?? Ok, anyway on the way home we saw this rest area that was really fancy.....only in the south would you see government dollars going to a high priced pooper! And only in the south would we take the time to take a picture AND blog about it!
What a boring drive!
Lane Orchards
On our way home we did a Martha Stewart and stopped to look how peaches are picked and sent to grocery stores....its a good thing. Actually it was. Tucker was in peach heaven! Lane Orchard produces peaches and pecans grown in Georgia. They had a cool little store where you could have lunch, buy peaches, syrups, breads and anything made with the vegetables/fruit that they grow there. You could take a tour for 6.00 a person (apparently people do not know that picking peaches are pretty boring), but you can walk through and see how they sort the peaches and pack them for shipment for FREE. So guess what the Gharing's did???? You know Tucker and I love to learn new things especially if it has to do with farm stuff. Neat, fun and best of all free! (except for the HUGE box of peaches that we bought) I am trying this new thing called canning.... :)
Shamu Rocks!
The Manta...
Atlantis Aquarium
Save the Manatees!
Another cool exhibit. They have this whole manatee rescue. We watched this cool 3D movie about the manatees and how they are becoming extinct. Did you know there are only about 1000 manatees left? Because of their large size, they cannot get away from the boats in the Florida lakes. They looked like dogs....which melted my heart! Love them....again....they are so cute!!!
Dolphin pettin'
SeaWorld day 2...
Ok, so you cannot do SeaWorld for a FULL 2 days. I guess you could but Trenton was about to go nuts. So we divided the time up. Cocoa Beach in the morning/early afternoon, SeaWorld in the late afternoon/night. So we returned to the things that we did not see the first day, which was actually alot. We went to the stingray lagoon. You actually can feed them and pet them. They were actually nasty feeling. Slimy on top....gross. Trenton did not want to touch them, apparently he thought they would suck his hand off. Tucker on the other hand wanted to swim with them.....until he found out The Crocodile Hunter was killed by one(actually a Manta ray) Why did we tell him this? Because he thought Bindi's mom and dad got a divorce because he never sees them together anymore. Dear Lord, this child is smart. Why did this pop into his head? Because the next place we went to was the crocodiles.
Canaveral....
Cocoa Beach!
So, one day we headed over to Cocoa Beach and stayed for a couple of hours. Cocoa Beach is only 30 minutes from Orlanado. None of us have ever been to the Atlantic Ocean. It actually was really nice. The sand was hard and really easy to walk out in the water in. The Gulf, the sand is very soft and you cannot walk very far out. Rich, Trenton and Tucker had a great time body surfing. I think Trenton would have stayed there all day. He had a great time....actually we all did. They got to play in the water, I burned myself to a crisp. Everyone wins!
